This is a letter you can use to request a credit freeze/security freeze from each of the 3 major credit bureaus. You need to send 3 separate letters – one to each of the 3 credit bureaus.
In Georgia, the fee to secure a credit freeze is $3 per agency – this means that to freeze your credit with all 3 agencies, you will need to send three $3 checks. There will also be a $3 fee per request to unfreeze your credit. Make sure to enclose identification such as a copy of your driver’s license or a copy of a utility bill that shows your name and address. We recommend that you use registered mail, return receipt requested to request a security freeze.
